East Coast
The East Coast of Tasmania is an area of such great natural beauty that visitors chose to come here time and time again. Here, long white beaches and seas of intense aqua are complemented by some of the most beautiful National Parks in Australia. At the northern point is Flinders Island, where visitors can hunt for the Killiecrankie ‘diamond’, or dive into a world of giant crabs and crays at Mount William National Park. Meanwhile in the north east, Forester kangaroos idly laze around whilst further south around the Bay of Fires, you can marvel at beautiful shell-strewn beaches adorned with spectacular giant granite boulders reddened by lichens and polished smooth by waves. Perhaps most beautiful of all are the areas of Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park; a region renowned not just for activities such as fishing, bushwalking, sea kayaking and rock climbing but truly spectacular coastal scenery including one of the top ten beaches in the world, Wineglass Bay.
